Dhoni- Is true representative of GEN-X ???

On the third day of test against New Zealand Indian team is in a commanding position and series is supposed to be finished on 2-0 in favor of India... Is it really because of Dhoni and his captaincy or is it because of the team combination we have .... Initially when Dhoni was given captaincy, we discussed in our car about his attitude and some of us including me thought he would not be able to take this team forward because of his attitude but he proved us wrong and I am happy that it happened...

Now the question in my mind is does he really represent our generation ..one with lots of zeal to perform to be the best, to reach the pinnacle whatever it takes, full of ideas, innovation, stylist, confident and most importantly having a believe that we can do it......

But the doubt comes in mind that will he be able to carry the success and still perform and deliver (like sachin did, I love his down to earth attitude) , will he be able to show the same enthusiasm as Dada (Lord's scene was awesome), will he be able to take everyone along as today.... In short will he be a sustainable success or just small time fizz.....

Tagged!...Little things that piss me off

Finally taking up the tag given by Aditi.....

  1. Never satisfied people- The people who are not satisfied ever with whatever they have and they just feel like making an issue of what they don't have instead of looking at what they have .. I think they just wanna crib...
  2. Crying kids- I know kids can't be made happy every time but when they cry for whatever reason it pisses me off...
  3. Someone taking advantage of someone who trusts- When I see people taking advantage of close ones it really pisses me off and add to that the frustration those cheated people don't even want to understand it..
  4. Blind faith- Blind faith without any reason or logic irritates me at times but it happens with everyone I think ... but still it pisses me off..
  5. Unwanted observer- few people have nothing else to do than just observing any couple.

Not able to recall much more right now ...

But I would like to tag kshitiz and everyone else also ...

TATA Nano-Small Car with Big Dreams

TATA Nano is one of the most awaited cars in India which is supposed to change the way we travel. We can drive the whole automobile industry for that matter as each vehicle has it’s own benefits. But for now lets analyze Nano …
  • Economically, (can’t help it I am doing MBA) Nano is supposed to revive the whole automobile and related industries and it can be a big boost in the current slowdown and big international companies are also trying to create the same magic as Nano…
  • For the common man it’s a substitute for their two wheelers so a person low income can go out with whole family without waiting for buses anymore…
  • For the students -now they can go for car pooling easily and also they will not have to suffer heat stroke while going on a date:)
But there are some problems also associated with it like road jams, less use of public transport, increase in pollution…

Here are some specifications of Nano as given on webindia123.com…
Looks: Contemporary looks and almost in sync with that of Zen Estilo and Fiat 500. Its length is 3.1 metres, height is 1.6 metres and width is of 1.5 metres.
Engine: The heart of the car is a rear-mounted two cylinder 623 cc, 33 horsepower, all aluminium, multi-point fuel injection petrol engine which can power the car to top speeds of 105 kilometres per hour (65 miles per hour).

Fuel Efficiency: The Nano can do a 20 kilometres per litre, or 50 miles per gallon.

Safety: Mr Ratan Tata said the Nano has an all sheet-metal body, with safety features such as crumple zones, intrusion-resistant doors, seat-belts, strong seats and anchorages, and the rear tailgate glass bonded to the body. Tyres are tubeless.
Environment-friendliness: The Peoples Cars tailpipe emission performance exceeds regulatory requirements. In terms of overall pollutants, it has a lower pollution level than two-wheelers being manufactured in the country today. The high fuel efficiency also ensures that the car has low carbon dioxide emissions, thereby providing the twin benefits of an affordable transportation solution with a low carbon footprint. It is Euro III and the engine has the capability of matching Euro IV norms.
Production Target: 250,000 units at present and with plan to scale it to 3,50,000 units.
Price: Standard model price Rs 1,00,000 (2,500 dollars) plus VAT and transport costs, which will put the on-road price at about Rs 1,20,000. The price of two deluxe models that will include air-conditioning and other features will be announced later.

Delhi-6 The true spirit of Delhi

First of all it’s not about the movie… but it’s about the culture of Delhi having “broad culture in narrow lanes”. When we talk about Delhi we imagine huge buildings, big cars and what not … but Delhi-6 is different and portrays the true culture of Delhi where you find people with big open hearts which makes the Delhi one of it’s kind…

Delhi-6 is actually also place where you can find big wholesale market for electrical good at Lajpat rai market, lenses in fatehpuri, shoes in Balli Marran …. Another striking feature of this place is the food you get there- the spice paranthas at parathe wali gali, icy chilled faluda at Giani’s and other stuff like chole kulche (that’s my personal favorite)…

But friends it’s not only about commodities food, here you find lively people who still care for neighbors, who still celebrate the joy of buying a new car, who still celebrate India’s cricket win with more than 50 people watching single 14” TV, there are still people eager to tell you the correct way when you are lost in those street… that’s what makes this place unique and which I believe to be the true spirit of any Delhite which somehow is burdened with hectic life and continues mobile rings….

Real India

You want to know about real India? It's in the hearts of the people. Before going into what's latest in India, I would like to relate a small story.

A friend of mine was having a bad day. Nothing had worked out right. She was just pondering over this and walking disorientedly back from the market when her sandal broke. She couldn't stop. She needed to get home soon for some reason. But with every step, she was stumbling and it was becoming clear that she would fall soon. Suddenly, she heard a call "Beti, come here and let me attach the strap". It was the mochi. She hesitated...she didn't have a lot of time. The mochi misunderstood the hesitation. "Arre don't worry about the money. No need to pay. But let me at least stop your stumbling". She said she was ina hurry and he fixed it in a jiffy. Of course she coudl afford to pay for the fixed sandal. But she couldn't repay the kindness of the mochi...
